Exhibitor Fraud & Scam Warning

Last Updated: 1st July 2026

Unfortunately, exhibitors at trade shows are often targeted by companies offering unauthorised products and services. We encourage all SPATEX exhibitors to remain vigilant and exercise caution when responding to unsolicited communications.

Please ignore any unsolicited phone calls or emails from companies claiming to represent SPATEX, unless we have advised you that they are an official SPATEX contractor.

If you are ever unsure about a product or service being offered in connection with SPATEX, please contact the SPATEX team before responding or making any payment. We are always happy to verify whether a company is genuine.

Official SPATEX Contractors

The only official contractors currently appointed by SPATEX are:

  • Full Circle
  • DHL
  • KRM Safety
  • LiveBuzz
  • CBS Arena

Any additional official contractors will be communicated directly by the SPATEX team.

1. Companies Offering SPATEX Attendee Lists

In the lead-up to SPATEX, you may receive emails or phone calls from companies claiming to sell attendee or visitor lists for the exhibition.

Please be aware that SPATEX does not sell or share its attendee data with third parties.

The official SPATEX attendee list is only made available after the exhibition and only to exhibitors who participated in that year's event, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

2. Hotel Accommodation Booking Companies

SPATEX provides information on accommodation options for visitors and exhibitors via the (Staying There) page on our website.

SPATEX does not endorse, appoint or authorise any hotel booking agencies or accommodation companies to contact exhibitors on our behalf.

If you receive unsolicited emails or telephone calls offering discounted hotel rooms, accommodation booking services or claiming to represent SPATEX, we recommend that you treat these approaches with caution.

To avoid potential scams, we recommend booking directly with your chosen hotel or through a trusted booking platform.

If you are unsure whether an accommodation provider is genuine, please contact the SPATEX team before making a reservation or payment.

3. Scam Expo Guides / Directory Listings

Exhibitors may also receive communications from organisations such as Expo Guide (based in Mexico) or Fairs & Business (based in Spain).

SPATEX does not endorse, support or have any association with either organisation or their services.

These companies typically send forms that resemble a free exhibitor listing request. However, by signing and returning the form, exhibitors may unknowingly enter into a legally binding, non-cancellable agreement, often lasting three years and carrying substantial charges.

These organisations are not affiliated with SPATEX in any way, and their documentation should not be confused with official SPATEX forms.

All official exhibitor forms and documentation are available exclusively through the E-Zone on the SPATEX website.

As part of your exhibition package, every SPATEX exhibitor receives a FREE online company profile and exhibitor listing on the SPATEX website, which is actively promoted to visitors in the lead-up to the exhibition.

If you receive any suspicious emails, invoices, phone calls or offers relating to SPATEX and are unsure whether they are genuine, please contact the SPATEX team before responding or making payment. We are always happy to help verify the legitimacy of any communication.
