Hard or Soft Brexit? EU Phosphate Directives Still Apply

The EU still requires our utilities to add Phosphate to water supplies, significantly reducing lead and copper levels to our drinking water. Increased phosphate levels in water supply have a significant impact on source water for swimming pools, encouraging increased outbreaks of algae ' phosphates are, basically, fertilizers.

Increased Phosphate Levels

- Encourage algal growth

- Affect pool appearance

- Impact pool performance

This doesn't, however, necessarily impose bad news for pool owners. Phosphate levels can be kept very low with several removers now on the market and monitoring the levels has never been easier than with a variety of Lovibond' test kit: from entry level, single-parameter, visual test kit to the all enhanced PM 630 photometer which measures Phosphate and up to 33 additional parameters.
