The well-known Ponds Forge swimming complex in Sheffield has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment project to improve the leisure facilities at this prestigious centre, and Suntrap Systems were entrusted with the contract to supply a pool lift providing access for disabled users.  The pool lift specified by the client was the fully automatic Scout Excel model with the request to have the stainless steel construction powder-coated to complement the new colour scheme within the pool area.  The manufacturers of the lift Aqua Creek Products were able to provide the necessary colour and powder-coating procedure to provide a unique and eye-catching finish to the lift enhancing its appearance to match the overall colour scheme within the pool hall.   The installation by Suntrap Systems was carried out early in December 2021 in accordance with the main contractor’s timetable.  Suntrap Systems are proud to confirm this is the first pool lift ever to be fitted in the UK with a special colourway designed to complement site specification, and the automatic Scout Excel with 5-year structural warranty is the only lift which matched the specification.  Suntrap are happy to work with clients, specifiers and contractors to provide the best possible solutions for disabled pool access.
