DULCOMETER AirGuard
The DULCOMETER AirGuard is the fi rst measuring system on the market that continuously and accurately monitors the concentration of trichloramine in the air in real time.
Trichloramine is produced by the reaction of chlorine with organic substances such as sweat, urine or skin particles and is largely
responsible for the typical chlorine smell and possible irritation of the respiratory tract, eyes and skin. Swimmers and staff are
particularly affected, as the highest concentrations occur directly above the water surface.
The DULCOMETER AirGuard measures trichloramine in the range from 0.00 to 2.00 mg/m³, enabling compliance with country-
specifi c air quality limits in indoor swimming pools. The autonomous analysis system replaces laboratory work that previously had to be carried out with hand-held measuring devices and manual tests.
To ensure safe conditions for swimmers and staff, the system reacts automatically to increased concentrations and can communicate with higher-level control systems via Modbus RTU, relays and a measured value output, to adjust the fresh air supply.
