Commercial Case Study: Aeris100

Carden Park clientele Breathe the Difference.
Multi-award winning destination spa hotel, Carden Park, commissioned a Recothem Aeris 100 for their brand new purpose-built £10 million spa which opened in 2020.
Challenges
The unit is sited in their stunning next-generation thermal suite, where the aim was to create an environment that enveloped guests in a sensation of warmth and relaxation. The suite features a warm vitality pool surrounded by heated loungers, an extensive glazed wall with a view and five steam and sauna rooms, including a salt steam room.
Solution
The Aeris 100 proved the perfect choice for this luxurious, state-of-the-art venue, and comparisons between other units in the existing part of the hotel and the new unit include that there is much lower power consumption, less noise and that the temperature and humidity are well controlled by the variable-speed ZA bluefin fans which ramp up and down according to demand. The maintenance team at Carden Park are, amongst other things, tasked with protecting the fabric of the building and ensuring minimal down-time, so they appreciate the importance of a good AHU, especially in the harsh environment of their thermal suite.
Tony Ellams, Maintenance Assistant was more than happy to share their experience:
I don’t remember a single guest complaint or negative comment about the temperature, humidity or any stale or chlorine smells. Temperature and humidity are controlled well, one side of the pool hall is all glass to the outside with no condensation forming.
The fact that you use Trend controls and Belimo actuators shows your commitment to quality.
The unit is so good that we have been guilty of almost forgetting about it, other than changing the filters!
